SELES is developed by Andrew Fall. He develops SELES to support his consulting work. And he releases it free of charge (in fact at his expense since he hosts the downloads) to others becuase he wants to see more environmental modelling done. Why? Let you models run free!
The Model Junkyard always needs more sample models, and data to test them on. PLease add your cool models to the pile (and remember that good documentation is the key to reusability).
Subscriptions
If you are in government or a consultant, and you use SELES regularly or for projects, you might consider adding a 'SELES subscription' line item to you budget or projects.
